Crock-Pot Grits
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 8 hours
- Servings: 6
- Preparation Time: 5 minutes
- 1 cup stone-ground grits
- 5 cups room-temperature water
- 2 T butter
- 1⁄2 t salt
DIRECTIONS
- Cover grits with cold water; stir until chaff floats to the surface. Skim off chaff; drain grits. Put grits, 5 cups water, butter and salt into a crockpot. Cover and cook on low until grits are soft and creamy, 8 hours. Adjust seasonings.
