Drunkin Pirate Chocolate Rum Pie

- 1 Pastry For 9 In Pie Crust
- 1 oz Unsweetened Chocolate Chips
- 1 tbsp. Butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Corn Syrup
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- 1/2 Cup Of Pecan..Or Walnut Halves
- 3 Egg Yolks
- 2/3 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Cold Water
- 1 tbsp. Unflavored Gelatin
- 1/2 Cup DARK RUM
- 1 1/2 Cups Whipping Cream

- Heres What Ya Do......
- First. Heat Oven To 375 Deg.
- Next. Line A 9 In. Pie Pan With Pie Crust Pastry...(Set Aside)
- Put Chocolate And Butter In Small Saucepan And Set Over Lowest Heat Till melted.
- Beat Eggs, 1/3 Cup Sugar, Corn Syrup,Chocolate Mixture and vanilla. Mix It Up Good.
- Stir In Pecans..(Or Walnuts)...And Pour Into Pastry Lined Pie Shell.
- Bake For 15 to 20 Mins. Till Pastry Is Nicely Browned. Let COOL.
- and Drink A Glass Of Rum For Yourself.
- NEXT... Beat Egg Yolks Till Foamy....and Beat In 2/3 Cups Sugar.
- Combine Water And Gelatin in A Small Saucepan. (LET STAND 5 MINS.).
- Now Heat Till It JUST Starts To Boil....Now Beat In the Egg Yolk Mixture. And Beat In The RUM!!!
- Now Set That Bowl In Ice Water And Chill Till Mixture Begins To Hold Shape When Dropped From A Spoon.
- Whip Cream Till Stiff And Fold In Gelitin Mixture. Set Back In Ice Water and Chill Till Mixture Begins To Hold Peaks. (will Be Firm)
- Now Just Spoon Mixture Over Chocolate Mixture In Pie Shell.
- Garnish With Shaved Chocolate.
- CHILL IN FRIDGE FOR 1 HOUR...AND PREPARE TO WALK THE PLANK!!!!!
