• 2 Boxes Jiffy Cornbread Mix
• 1 onion minced
• 1 egg
• 1 14.5 oz. can creamstyle corn
• 2 cups cooking oil

1. In medium size mixing bowl empty the 2 boxes cornbread mix, add onion, egg, and creamstyle corn. Stir all ingredients until batter is smooth. In electric fryer or stove top heat oil to good frying temperature. Drop batter by spoonfuls into hot oil. The hushpuppies will form balls by themselves. Cook until golden brown. Turning as you go. Easy, Easy, and taste great.

Was frying fish the other night, and wanted homemade hushpuppies to go with the fish. I was getting tired, and wondered if box cornbread mix would work as well as scratch. Believe it or not, these were the best hushpuppies I ever made.
