Everlasting Slaw

INGREDIENTS
  • 3lbs. cabbage
  • 1 pod of sweet pepper
  • 1 med. size onion
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
DIRECTIONS
  1. Chop; Cabbage, pepper, onion.
  2. Mix with 3 tablespoons salt.
  3. Let stand 15 minutes.
  4. Squeeze out water.
  5. Mix with sugar and vinegar.
  6. Put in a covered dish- Let stand 24 hours.

This recipe was given to me by my Father, I don't know where he got it. It's very good if you like your slaw a little tangy.
