Favorite Layered Party Dip
INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 16
  • BEAN LAYER
  • 2 cans 16 oz each refried beans
  • 2 tbs lime juice
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp each minced garlic, ground cumin, and hot pepper sauce
  • GUACAMOLE LAYER
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 tbs each lime juice and chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp each minced garlic and salt
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • SALSA LAYER
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • 1/4 cup sliced scallions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tbs lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS
  1. BEAN LAYER-
  2. Mix ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Mound in center of a large serving plate.
  4. Shape into a flat circle.
  5. GUACAMOLE LAYER-
  6. Halve avocados, scoop flesh into a bowl.
  7. Mash with lime juice, cilantro, garlic and salt until almost smooth. Spread over bean layer.
  8. Top with sour cream, sprinkle with cheese.
  9. SALSA LAYER-
  10. Mix ingredients in a bowl.
  11. TO SERVE-
  12. Drain juices from salsa and spoon over cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.
