- 1 lemon , sliced
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 cup water
- soda
DIRECTIONS
- Rinse figs & drain, cover w/ soda
- the sink, then cover w/
- boiling water & let stand 5
- minutes.
- Remove figs & rinse, cut off
- stems.Make a syrup of the water
- sugar. Cook until sugar is well
- melted, stir. Add figs & Sliced
- lemon. Cook slowly until clear,
- about 1- hr
