Fruit Cocktail Cake
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 45-50
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 can (1 lb.) fruit cocktail
- Topping:
- 1 small can evaporated milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup coconut
DIRECTIONS
- Mix together flour, baking soda, 1 cup sugar, eggs and fruit cocktail. Put into a greased and floured 9x13 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until done.
- TOPPING:
- Mix together in a saucepan the milk, butter, coconut, sugar and vanilla, bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.. Pour over warm cake, punching holes in cake while pouring.
