Ginger Lemon Tea
- 6 cups of water
- 1 2-inch piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 8 lemon peel strips (2 1/2 X 1 inches each)
- 6 green tea bags
- In a large pan stir together the water, ginger and lemon peel strips. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon remove ginger and lemon peel.
- Place the tea bags in a teapot and immediately add the simmering water. Cover and let steep according to the tea package directions. Remove the tea bags and discard. Serve immediately in heat proof glass or mugs
