Gingered Plum Sauce
INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c. plum jam
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. anise seeds, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. hot sauce
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat plum jam in a small saucepan over medium heat until melted.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Yield: 1-1/4 cups
