Green Beans With Almonds

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped
  • 1/3 cup almonds or pine nuts (I use roasted garlic flavored almonds)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese to top
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat the olive oil in a small skillet and stir in the garlic and nuts, saute until lightly browned. Remove from heat and keep warm.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add prepped green beans and let boil 10 minutes or until they are your desired crispness.
  3. Drain beans then put them into serving dish. Mix in the garlicy nuts, season beans with salt and pepper and top with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
