Green Slaw (coleslaw)
INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups finely shredded crisp green cabbage
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 carrot, shredded fine, optional for a little color
  • For Dressing:
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
DIRECTIONS
  1. Put cabbage and onion in a bowl.
  2. Prepare dressing with remaining ingredients. Stir well to dissolve sugar. Pour over cabbage; toss lightly. Chill.
