Italian Cream Frosting

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 TBSPS flour
  • ¼ cup shortening
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix flour and milk in a saucepan and at medium heat. Stir constantly until thickened.
  2. Let cool completely.
  3. Add sugar, margarine, shortening and vanilla and beat mixture until fluffy.
  4. Put 2-3 tablespoons of cream between cookies and serve.
  5. Makes about 12-14 pies.
