Lemon pound cake

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 oz. package lemon jello
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 box lemon cake mix
  • 2/3 cup salad oil
  • 4 eggs
  • Icing:
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Dissolve jello in water and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl mix the cake mix and oil.
  4. Beat for 2 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time. Beat well.
  5. Stir in jello and mix well.
  6. Grease and flour a tube pan for 45 to 50 minutes.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes, and then remove to cool on a wire rack.
