MOLASSES SUGAR COOKIES

INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 6 to 8
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine dry ingredients: flour, soda, cinnamon, salt, cloves, and ginger.
  2. Beat margarine and sugar, until light and creamy. Add molasses and egg.
  3. Beat well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
  6. Form into 1-inch balls.
  7. Roll in sugar.
  8. Slightly flatten (with greased glass-bottom dipped in sugar).
  9. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
