Maple Fudge
CATEGORIES
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups maple syrup
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
DIRECTIONS
  1. Grease 8" square baking pan. In heavy 3 quart saucepan, combine maple syrup, sugar, half and half and corn syrup. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring just until ingredients are combined. Cook maple mixture, without stirring to 235 on candy thermometer or until some candy dropped into cold water forms a soft ball. Remove fudge mixture from heat; stir in butter and beat with electric mixer or wooden spoon until candy is lighter in color and just starts to feel thick. Fold nuts into fudge and pour into greased pan. Cool to room temperature on wire rack. Unmold from pan and break into pieces or cut into squares.
