Meatball Stew

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt divided
  • 1/2 tsp pepper divided
  • 4 med potatoes peeled, and
  • cut into chunks
  • 4 med carrots cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a bowl, combine beef, half of garlic pwdr and half of old bay seasoning 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; mix well.
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown meatballs on all sides; drain.
  4. Place potatoes, carrots and onion in a slow cooker; top with meatballs.
  5. Combine the ketchup, water, vinegar, basil and remaining salt, pepper, reamining of garlic powder and old bay seasoning; pour over meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or until vegetables are tender.
