Mom's Spaghetti Sauce
INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 60
  • Servings: 6-8
  • Preparation Time: 30
  • 2 lb ground beef, browned
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 T each basil, parsley, oregano
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 1/4 t anise
  • 1/2 t thyme
  • 1/2 t carroway seed
  • 1 t salt
  • 30 oz crushed tomato
  • 15-30 oz tomato sauce
  • red wine to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Simmer at least one hour
  2. Variation: substitute a jar of pre-made sauce for the tomato sauce, and change crushed tomato to 15 oz.
