Mountain Dew Cake
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (with pudding in mix)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup Mountain Dew
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Mountain Dew
  1. Combine cake mix; add remaining ingredients. Put nuts in bottom of a well greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for the length of time that the box says for baking in a bundt pan, check w/ a tooth pick to make sure it is done and comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for about 5-10 minutes then flip onto cake plate.
  2. Glaze: Boil 1-2 minutes. When cake comes out of oven, while hot, pour over cake.
This came out of an old cookbook from a small town. It's basically a family recipe.
