Nutty Chocolate Pumpkin Brownies

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup quick or old fashioned oats, uncooked
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (15-oz.) can pumpkin
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Cream butter; gradually add sugars, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Alternate additions of dry ingredients and pumpkin, mixing well after each addition. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Spread mixture evenly in baking pan. Bake 22 minutes. Cut into bars.
