Oatmeal Cookies

  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a bowl (by hand) cream together butter, sugar and salt until mixed well.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla and water until mixed well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, quick oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg) and fold into creamed butter mixture, stirring until mixed well.
  5. Add raisins and mix until they are evenly distributed into batter.
  6. Line baking sheet pan with parchment paper
  7. Using a teaspoon, scoop out cookie dough onto lined sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes.
