Oatmeal cookies

  • 3/4 cup margarine (room temperature)
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups oats
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a mixing bowl mix margarine and 1/2 flour and the other ingredients. Beat till thoroughly mixed, then slowly add remaining flour. Stir in oats.
  2. Drop by teaspoons on an ungreased cookie sheet about two inches apart. Bake 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 48 cookies.
