One Pan Pork Chops

INGREDIENTS
- 5-6 thinly sliced pork chops
- that have been seasoned
- with salt & pepper
- 2 Tblsp. veg. oil
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1- 16 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 2 Tblsp. sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup uncooked rice
DIRECTIONS
- In a large frying pan with sides or a dutch oven, place
- veg. oil and heat. When heated, place in seasoned
- pork chops and cook 4 -5 minutes per side
- or until lightly browned.
- Remove chops.
- Add onion and celery and cook until translucent.
- Stir in tomato sauce, water, sugar and salt.
- Bring to a boil.
- Stir in rice and reduce heat to low.
- Place chops on top and cover.
- Cook for 30 - 40 minutes on low until rice
- is cooked through.
