Oriental Slaw
INGREDIENTS
- Servings: 10-12
- 1 c vegetable oil
- ½ c sugar
- 1/3 c red wine vinegar
- 2 3-oz pkgs. ramen noodles with seasoning packet, divided
- beef or oriental flavor
- 1 c slivered almonds
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 1 16-oz pkg. cole slaw or broccoli slaw
- 1 c roasted sunflower seeds
DIRECTIONS
- Whisk together oil, sugar, vinegar and seasoning packets; set aside. Break ramen noodles into small pieces and toss with slivered almonds. Spread in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet and toast at 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes. Combine coleslaw and onions, stir in noodle mixture, sunflower seeds and dressing; toss to coat. Serve immediately. (If not serving immediately, don’t add the noodle mixture until ready to serve.)
