Pecan Pralines

  • ½ pint whipping cream
  • 1 lb. brown sugar
  • Pinch of cream of tartar\
  • pinch salt
  • 2-½ cups pecans
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine whipping cream and
  2. sugar in a large microwave
  3. mixing bowl. Add cream of
  4. tartar and salt. Microwave at
  5. full power for 13 minutes.
  6. At thje same time , slowly toast
  7. pecans in a 350 degree oven
  8. turning frequently so they do not
  9. Burn. remove whipping cream
  10. mixture from micro. And pecans
  11. from oven. Add butter to
  12. quickly until butter is melted and
  13. mixture begins to lose its gloss.
  14. Add vanilla and pecans.
  15. Quickly turn out spoonfuls onto
  16. alum. foil, & egg to
  17. mixture .
