Peg Currie's Chocolate Chip Cake

  • Cooking Time: 30 minutes

  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • 6 T butter or margarine, room temperature
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 and 1/3 c flour
  • 1 and 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1 t soda
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 6 oz chocolate chips (1/2 of a bag)
  • 2T coarse (or regular) sugar
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cream butter (or margarine) and sugar
  2. Beat in eggs one at a time
  3. Stir dry ingredients together and add to wet mixture
  4. Stir in sour cream
  5. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan
  6. Scatter chips over top
  7. Sprinkle with sugar
  8. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes
