Penuche Frosting

  • Cooking Time: 2 minutes

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cups sifted powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a medium saucepan melt butter; stir in brown sugar.
  2. Cook and stir till bubbly. Remove from heat.
  3. Add milk; beat vigorously until till smooth.
  4. By hand, beat in enough of the powdered sugar to make of spreading consistency.
  5. Quickly frost the cooled cake. Frosts one 9 x 13 or tops and sides of 2 8 or 9 inch cakes.
