Poppy Seed Cake

  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (I often use a lemon cake mix)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 teas almond extract
  • 1-2 Tbl poppy seeds
  1. In small mixing bowl, dissove vanilla pudding in hot water. In larger bowl, mix cake mix, vanilla pudding mixture, eggs, oil, almond extract and poppy seeds. Beat 2 to 3 minutes. Pour batter into greased bundt pan. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 50 minutes..
This was a very popular cake years ago when I first got married. My daughter still likes it today. The recipie calls for a yellow cake but I often make it with a lemon cake mix.
