Pork Chops in Plum sauce
  • 1 thick loin pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves, ground
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 sm. jar strained plum (baby food)
  • 1/2 cup port wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  1. Trim fat from pork chops. Sprinkle chops with salt, pepper and sage. Dust with flour. Cook pork chops in a little oil in a heavy skillet, until browned on both sides. Place chops in a shallow buttered baking dish. Mix together plums, wine, cinnamon, lemon peel and cloves, pour over chops. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until tender, adding more port wine if necessary.
Although this contains baby food, it is definitely not for babies, ha ha.
