Porkblade Steaks Dinner

  • Pork blade steaks (4)
  • 2 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pepper
  • 1 can of condensed beef broth
  • 1 med onions sliced
  • 2-3 med potatoes peeled and quarter
  • 2-4 carrots quartered
  • 1teapoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • parsley
DIRECTIONS
  1. In skittle brown pork blade steaks in shortening
  2. pour of dripping
  3. season salt and pepper, reserve 1/4 cup broth
  4. add broth to skillet
  5. add onion, potato carrots
  6. add basil
  7. over and simmer for 45- 60 minutes until tender vegetables
  8. remove meat and vegetables(keep warm)
  9. add water to pan juice to make I cup.
  10. add to skillet cover until thickend and bubbles
  11. serve over meat and veg

This is a one dish meal. My mother in law passed it down to me. A good fall go to meal.
