Rice Pilaf

  • Servings: 6
  • ½ stick of butter
  • 1 handful of thin egg noodles
  • 1 cup regular white rice (can use brown as well)
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. In a heavy saucepan, melt butter and slowly brown noodles. Add rice; stir. Add water slowly and bouillon cubes. Bring water to boil, cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Serves 6
This is an old recipe that my mom used to make. My sisters and I have been making it for our families for years. It goes well with everything.
