Ruby's Ten Minute Chili
  • 1 pkg. lean ground beef (I used ground sirloin)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 large cans (28 oz) Hunt's chili beans
  • 2 large cans (28 oz) Hunt's chili beans
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • 1 t. chili powder (or to taste
  • 1 t. cumin
  1. Brown ground beef and onions; drain well. Add remaining ingredients and heat through. This is kind of a mild but very good chili. You can add jalapenos or chipotles or more spice to kick it up if you like. It might take a bit longer than 10 minutes, but not 30 minutes. Very quick and easy and great for winter's chilly nights.
This came from my pastor's wife. They brought me a pot of it when my husband was really sick and I had hurt my knee and couldn't really get around much.
