Scalloped Potatoes
INGREDIENTS
  • potatoes, quartered and sliced evenly. (not thick slices)
  • Slice Medium or sharp cheddar cheese
  • Milk, 1%, 2% or whole. (Skim doesn't work well)
DIRECTIONS
  1. I cannot give exact amount of anything because it depends on the size of your casserole dish and how many you are serving.....
  2. Peel several potatoes and then quarter them then slice them evenly. (not thick slices)
  3. Slice Medium or sharp cheddar cheese
  4. 1% or 2% Milk or even whole if you wish. Skim doesn't work well.
  5. In a casserole dish, place a layer of potatoes, then layer of cheese, salt and pepper, then layer potatoes, cheese, S&P unitl you end up with cheese on top. Add enough milk for casserole dish to be 3/4 full. Salt and pepper the top layer and place in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. Milk will bubble and top will brown...set for about 5 minutes before serving.....
