Silver White Layer Cake
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 30-35
- 2 1/2 cups cake flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups shortening
- 1 cup milk, separated
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 4 egg whites
DIRECTIONS
- Mix all dry ingredients; add shortening and 1/2 cup of the milk.
- Beat for two minutes. Add remaining 1/2 cup milk and the egg whites.
- Beat two minutes longer.
- Turn into two 8-inch layer pans .
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cool and frost with your favorite frosting.
