Snickerdoodles

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 C Butter
  • 1 1/2 C Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix the butter, sugar and eggs
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients
  3. Chill dough. Role into balls the size of small walnuts and rol in cinnamon sugar. Place about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned but still soft. (They puff up and then flatten out with crinkled tops).
  4. 400* 8-10 minutes.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
These are one of my favorite cookies. Unlike chocolate chip cookies these are better when they've cooled off and gotten crispy.
