Sour Cream Cookies with Raisins
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 10-12
- 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
- 1 cup light brown sugar -- firmly packed
- 1 egg
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
DIRECTIONS
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg.
- Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating after each addition until smooth.
- Stir in raisins and chopped pecans or walnuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
