Squirrel Stew

- 1 squirrel, cut up
- all purpose flour
- salt and pepper
- 2 1/2 Tbsp butter
- 7 cups boiling water
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 cup corn
- 3 potatoes, cubed
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 2 cups tomatoes, canned
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
DIRECTIONS
- 1 Dredge squirrel pieces in flour, salt, and pepper.
- 2 Brown in butter.
- 3 Add squirrel and all ingredients except the tomatoes to the boiling water.
- 4 Cover and simmer for 1 to 2 hours.
- 5 Add the tomatoes and continue to simmer for another hour.
