Strawberry Pretzel Dessert

- •Crust:
- •2 cups crushed pretzels
- •3/4 cup melted butter
- •3 tbsp sugar
- •• Mix crushed pretzels, sugar and butter
- •• Press into a 9x13-inch glass dish
- •• Bake at 400 degrees F. for 8 minutes
- •• Cool
- •Filling: Sometimes I double this (only if you like a thick cream layer).
- •1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- •1 cup sugar
- •1 12 oz package Cool Whip, thawed
- •• Mix together cream cheese and sugar until smooth
- •• Fold in Cool Whip
- •• Spread on top of cooled crust
- •Topping :
- •1 large box strawberry gelatin
- •2 16 oz package frozen strawberries with syrup
- •2 cups boiling water
- •1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
DIRECTIONS
- 1.• Dissolve gelatin in boiling water
- 2.• Add frozen strawberries -- the hot water will thaw them
- 3.• stir in pineapples
- 4.• Pour mixture onto cream cheese layer
- 5.• Refrigerate for 2 hours
