Teriyaki Steak
  • 2 pounds sirloin steak
  • 1 tablespoon powdered ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sherry
  1. Cut steak into thin slices. Combine ginger, garlic, onion, sugar, soy sauce and sherry and pour mixture over meat. Let stand one to two hours. (I usually put this in a zip lock bag to marinade.) Thread meat on skewers and broil quickly on both sides over charcoal.
It's that time of year, when you don't want to heat up the kitchen. Here is a great recipe for the grill. This is good served hot with some rice or cold on a salad.
