Texas Sheet Cake

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 T cocoa
  • Icing:
  • 1 stick oleo melted
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 6 T milk
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix in large bowl: flour, sugar, salt.
  3. Mix in small bowl: eggs, buttermilk, soda, vanilla.
  5. Bring to full boil: oleo, water, cocoa
  7. Mix all parts and pour into a greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 for 15 minutes.
  9. For icing:
  10. Heat first 3 in sauce pan, then add last two. Pour over cake.
