The Best Nuts and Bolts
- 1 (425 g) Cheerios
- 1 (500g) Shreddies
- 225 g pretzel sticks
- 1 box cheese nips (or Pepperidge Farm Goldfish)
- 3 cups salted peanuts
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 5 T Worcestershire sauce
- 6 dashes Tabasco sauce
- 3 t. each: onion, celery, garlic and seasoned salts
- Put first 5 in a large roaster. Heat oil and sauces and pour over. Sprinkle salts 1 t. at a time and mixing well after each. Preheat oven to 175. Place in oven for 2 hours stirring twice.
- It has become tradition to make this every Christmas to much on and to share with friends. It is better than store bought! I don't remember how much it makes but I filled a 4 litre ice cream container and then some!
