Vanilla Cut Out Cookies

INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: approx. 5 dozen
  • Cream together:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • Add: 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Add Gradually:
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
  1. Chill thoroughly, then roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cutout cookies with cookie cutters, place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° until lightly brown around edges.
  2. Frosting: (it will be shiny & translucent like the picture)
  3. 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  4. 2 tablespoons water
  5. 1 tablespoon softened butter
  6. 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  7. 1/2 tsp vanilla
  8. Food color, if desired
