Vanilla Cut Out Cookies

INGREDIENTS
- Servings: approx. 5 dozen
- Cream together:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- Add: 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Add Gradually:
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
- Chill thoroughly, then roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cutout cookies with cookie cutters, place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° until lightly brown around edges.
- Frosting: (it will be shiny & translucent like the picture)
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon softened butter
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Food color, if desired
