White Sauce

  • 1 stick butter
  • 5 T flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ tsp salt
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a sauce pan melt the butter. Whisk in the flour until mixture is smooth.
  2. Add the milk and salt. Continue stirring over medium heat until the sauce is smooth and thickens properly

This is probably a common sauce, but I learned it from mom. I use it in my Chipped Beef on Toast Recipe.
