DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. preheat ovento 375*F and grease
  2. a 15-by-10-inch baking dish. In a
  3. large saucepan,bring 1 cup butter
  4. and water just to a boil.

  6. in flour, sugar,eggs,sour cream,
  7. salt,baking powder,extract,and
  8. baking soda until smooth. Pour
  9. batter into prepare baking dish.
  10. 3.Bake for 18 to 22 minutes,or until
  11. golden brown and a toothpick
  12. inserted into center of cake comes
  13. out clean. Allow cake to cool on a
  14. wire rack for 20 minutes.
  15. 4. In a large saucepan, bring
  16. remaining butter and milk just to a
  17. boil;immediately remove from heat.
  18. 5. Stir in confectioners' sugar and
  19. almond extract until smooth. Stir in
  20. walnuts, and spread frosting over
  21. warm cake. Allow to cool
  22. completely before serving.
