Zesty Pepperoni Penne Casserole
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 container (12 oz.) ricotta cheese
  • 1 Jar Spaghetti Sauce (28 oz)
  • 1 Package Sliced Pepperoni (I used Hormel which comes with two "packages" together-only one is needed for this recipe)
  • 1 Cup Mozzarella
  • 1 Box or Bag Pasta (16 oz) ( I use Penne)
  • Salt, Pepper, Oregano, Garlic and Onion Powder to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. *I adapted this recipe from a "pepperoni pasta casserole" one from Taste of Home. It is a filling pasta casserole that we always eat as a main dish with some salad and garlic bread!
  2. INGREDIENTS:
  3. -1 lb. lean ground beef
  4. -1 container (12 oz.) ricotta cheese

  10. DIRECTIONS:
  11. 1.) Brown Ground beef; Drain; Season with above seasonings
  12. 2.) Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
  13. 3.) Mix together spaghetti sauce, ricotta cheese and half of mozzarella. Season mixture as desired.
  14. 4.) When meat and pasta are ready, mix in with ricotta mixture.
  15. 5.) Spread in a lightly greased 2 quart casserole dish.
  16. 6.) Top with pepperoni slices and remaining mozzarella cheese.
  17. 7.) Bake at 350` for 30-40 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbling.
