homemade lemonade
INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 5 litres (175fl oz)
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 16 cups cold water
  • 4 1/2 cups chopped lemons
  • 200ml (7fl oz) cider vinegar
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine sugar and boiling water in a food-safe bucket and stir to dissolve. Add cold water, lemons and vinegar and mix well. Cover with a clean tea towel and leave for 48 hours. strain, then pour into clean bottles and seal. The lemonade is ready in approximately 12 days, or when it is fizzy.
