  • 3 lime wedges
  • fine sea salt
  • 1 1/4 parts tequila
  • 3/4 part cointreau
  • 1 1/4 parts fresh lime juice
  • 4 - 5 ice cubes
  • lime slice, to decorate
DIRECTIONS
  1. dampen the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with one of the lime wedges
  2. dip the rim into fine sea salt
  3. pour the tequila, cointreau, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker
  4. squeeze the juice from the remaining two lime wedges into the shaker
  5. squeeze the wedges to release the oils in the skin then drop the wedges into the shaker
  6. add the ice cubes
  7. shake vigorously for about 10 seconds
  8. strain the cocktail into the chilled glass
  9. decorate with a lime slice
