We don't know the recipe, but, we usually buy it already made. We want to share this food because we all like to eat it with butter and hot chocolate. It came from Italy and shifted down to Peru and other countries. They also come in different brands. Submitted by: "Liani M"Yummy baked apple-cranberry crisp with granola topping
Great holiday treat that is delicious and healthy. My grandma loves to make this for us on Thanksgiving and anyone can try it. You can eat it hot or cold. I really like it cold with yogurt on top. Submitted by: "Delaney Fried"Reindeer Cookies
Each year we make cookies as a family. The cookies change year to year. Sometimes they are elaborate affairs that take hours of time and some years the cookies are very simple, but still very yummy. For us, the tradition lies in the joining together as a family to make a sweet treat. Submitted by: "Ben V"Marlons favorite christmas cookies
This is my grandmas recipe. We always bake Christmas cookies on the weekends before Christmas. I love to bake and decorate them and I love the smell in the house! We try to save some cookies for Christmas eve, but they are usually gone shortly after they come out of the oven.... Submitted by: "Marlon E."Este's succulent crepes
The recipe come from Brittany in France. We all love it, probably because you can have it the way you want. Este's favorite is with nutella, her sister like it with butter..and we both enjoy it with jam. We usually make them for snack on Sunday. The sweet smell of it makes everybody run for it. When my mom was pregnant with my sister, one of her students made this as a holiday gift. My mom loved it so much she asked for the recipe. Now it is a tradition in my family to make the bark every year and we all love it! I would like to share the recipe with the class because I think they will like it too! Submitted by: "Noah Schwartz"Homemade Pecan Buttercups
This recipe has been passed down from my Grandmother to my mother and now to me. Every year at Christmas I make these delicious treats with my children. We have fun making them and more fun eating them. I share them with family and friends. They make a wonderful holiday gift. It is impossible to eat just one!! Submitted by: "Amy Hogan"Hot Chocolate Pancakes
This is the first recipe we have found that is for chocolate pancakes not chocolate chip pancakes. It has become a family favorite and they are great without syrup. Submitted by: "Ella M."Festive Pudding Bar
Each year for Passover, our Temple hosts a "Chocolate Seder" where a pudding mixture is made to represent mortar in bricks used for building. The entire "meal" is everything chocolate, so it's a favorite for grownups and children alike!! Submitted by: "Ella Barras"Hunnukuh potato pancakes
My grandmother cooks it every year on the first night of Hannukah. Hannukah is a Jewish holiday celebrating the Festival of Lights. Our family only makes this special recipe once a year. Some people like to eat it with apple souce and some with sour cream. I like to eat it plain. Submitted by: "Maya S"Candy Cane Sleighs
Our family enjoys making and eating these Candy Cane Sleighs during the holidays! Submitted by: "Nicklaus F."Tollhouse Winter Elf Fudge
Christmas at our house is about making presents, not food. We paint and craft to our hearts delight. Sure, there are candy canes and an advent Calendar. We bake a Turkey and Nana spends hours making candied yams that MUST be on the table, but no one actually eats. We have mashed potatoes and gravy. Sometimes a guest even brings a green bean casserole. But our Christmas is about a warm spot by the tree and swimming in the pool with too much family. We don't really have food traditions...and I wasn't posting a recipe for turkey. So this was difficult for us. The recipe we are posting is not ours. It is a recipe that we found on the back of a tollhouse bag. We chose it because Amaya likes fudge and It is one of the few things that I can make reliably without burning it. Submitted by: "Amaya Etcheverry"Cheese Flan
This is an old favorite that can be made ahead of time. Holiday garnishes (mint leaves and berries) make for a striking dessert. Submitted by: "Christian D."Ouma's Sugar Cookies
This is a basic but essential part of any Grandma's cookie jar ….the cookies can be cut out and decorated with shapes, frosting and sprinkles that are appropriate for any holiday !! Submitted by: "Colin Campbell"Plum tarte takin
For as long as I can remember, my aunt has made a plum cake that can't be beat anywhere in the world. It is my dad's, and therefore, my favorite cake in the world. My dad and I would sneak eating the cake when the other wasn't looking. For birthdays and holidays, my aunt would make one cake for my dad and me. Soon, she had to make 2 for my dad and me...after a couple years of that, and the cakes only lasting a few minutes, she was tired of making so many plum cakes, so she switched to cookies! I tried for years and years to make a plum cake that my dad and I both enjoy. I stumbled upon this recipe a couple years ago, and now it is my dad's favorite! The best part is, once Lorelei saw my dad eating the cake, she decided to try it...now they are in competition to see who eats it first! The last time I made it, I made 2, one for my dad and one for my little girl. We had dinner together at our house that night, Lorelei, my dad, and I ate the first one, and when Lorelei fell asleep, my dad sneakily took the other one out the door! The next morning, I had to make another!...I might have to move onto something like cookies or blueberry pie, like my aunt did! Submitted by: "Lorelei D"Snowflake Holiday Cookies
This recipe is very famous in Germany. We always eat these cookies every Christmas. Submitted by: "Kristina P."Holiday Almond Biscotti
This Christmas recipe is special because it has been a family tradition for years. Submitted by: "Gianna L"Fruit Cookie Pizza
I learned how to make my favorite fruit pizza from my Grandma Debbie. I always eat the grapes before she can put them on the pizza. She always laughs at me. It's a special time we share together. Submitted by: "Olivia Carver"Cousin Morgan's Apple Pie
My cousin Morgan makes this pie from a family recipe that was passed down from my great grandfather. The smell of this pie when it is cooking is what the holidays smell like to me. Submitted by: "Jimmy Goldberg"Chocolate Cake
It is important to me because it is one of my favorite types of cake. I really like making it. Chocolate is my favorite flavor. I love frosting. Submitted by: "Grady Lucas"Peppermint Bark
Peppermint Bark is a holiday classic treat that can be enjoyed by your family or given as gifts to others. Submitted by: "Kiran Shah"Cream Cheese cookies
This is not an original recipe, but a family favorite! Easy to make and delicious. Submitted by: "Donna Krzastek"Pumpkin Bread
