My name is Carrie, I'm 38, and I live in the midwest. I have three children, am married, and am passionate about cooking! I tend to like simple, midwest-style, comfort food. Fancy ingredients and techniques turn me off. I teach American Literature to juniors, English 10 to sophomores, Advanced Placement Literature to seniors, yearbook to students in grades 9-12, and newspaper to students in grades 10-12. I absolutely love the small school in which I teach, and when I'm not doing that I tend to be at a sporting or musical event for one of my children. My mother and aunts were and are fabulous cooks. My mom used to make the most wonderful sage dressing at Thanksgiving every year, and since she passed away in 2000 I've been trying unsuccessfully to replicate it. Even my 96 year old grandmother tried and failed! Boy, if I can get that right I'll finally consider myself a real cook.
