Enough of the food police. As a registered dietitian I focus on the importance of finding pleasure while choosing nutritious foods. When it comes to eating, taste and enjoyment trumps every other factor. Food is more than nourishishment - but to also heal, postpone aging and prevent disease, affect mind and body and transport us to different culinary adventures and cultures. My challenge is to provide nutrition information that is science based and accurate, and realistically meets people’s needs and desires with common-sense advice. And I love to translate that advice into good tasting and healthy food. And that thing about food police? I also love indulgent recipes...in moderation!
