Hey everyone! I’m Vanessa, or Nessa to my friends and the founder and creator of The Pregnancy Pantry The Pregnancy Pantry What I’m all about I’m a mum of two, a wife and a total self confessed nutrition geek. I studied journalism before branching out and discovering my true passion and as a Nutritional Health and Wellness Coach specialising in VEGAN Nutrition & all things pregnancy I’ve been on a bit of a mission for the past five years to create, healthy, refined sugar-free sweet and delicious treats that not only taste amazing but are also packed full of nutritional goodness to enjoy during pregnancy. I am really don’t like the word diet, for me it conjures up images of counting calories, macros and a whole host of restrictions. So I will always, where I can use the term ‘healthy lifestyle’ over healthy diet. I’m about good food, healthy food and home cooked food. I started this site almost four years ago when I was on maternity leave with my son and what started as a blog about pregnancy and creating sweet treats to enjoy without the added sugars soon escalated into a site that included smoothies, breakfasts, dinners and snacks. My love affair with all things nutrition goes back eons but it’s only recently that I’ve made the decision to branch out even further – to become a Nutritional Health and Wellness Coach and to complete a diploma in Vegan Nutrition. I’m a vegetarian, although in the past month have made the decision to start eating fish again, so whilst you’ll find a lot of meat free recipes on this site, I absolutely promise that for the meat eaters out there you’ll find a range of delicious recipes that contain plenty of meat based proteins
